He plays in many styles including Celtic, East Coast, Rock and\u00a0Swing.<\/p>\n<p><b>Recording Artist<\/b> Tom has two solo instrumental albums \u201cLeighton\u00a0Tendencies\u201d and \u201cLeighton Life\u201d that demonstrate his keen writing skills,\u00a0and feature an eclectic mix of sweeping orchestral works, Celtic accordion\u00a0rants and quirky Swing Jazz. He also has 3 CDs as half of the celebrated Canadian duo <b>Haines and Leighton<\/b>. \u201cFoot to Floor\u201d, \u201cOptimists Jig\u201d and \u201cHand to Hand\u201d (nominated for an East Coast Music Award). They have toured Canada, Britain and Sweden.<\/p>\n<p><b>Accompanist<\/b> Tom also plays live gigs with such musical talents as\u00a0Anne Lederman, Conrad Kipping, Marie Lynn Hammond, Rick Bauer and\u00a0Ian Bell and has performed on over 60 recordings.<\/p>\n<p><b>Orchestrator\/Arranger\/Conductor <\/b>Tom has written many\u00a0arrangements for choirs, school stage band and even symphonies.<\/p>\n<p><b>Musical Director<\/b> on several productions with the Festival\u00a0Players of Prince Edward County and has conducted the Riverdale Share Concert house band in Toronto for the past 18 years.<\/p>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Musician, Conductor, Composer, Arranger Multi-instrumentalist Tom plays piano, accordion, accordion bass,\u00a0bouzouki, bodhran, whistles, jaw harps, &#8211; sometimes several of them at the\u00a0same time!
