About some of the tunes…….
#4. Hank Dances – the basic theme was written to be part of the Festival Players of PEC production of HANK WILLIAMS, THE SHOW HE NEVER GAVE by Maynard Collins. Envision Hank dancing in a Cajun Style. Thanks to director Marion de Vries and Micheal O’Hara.
#8. Professor Blackie – From the first time I played with Rick Bauer on this beautiful melody by J. Scott Skinner, I knew I had to record it with him. Many thanks Rick for keeping this piece alive. Professor John Stuart Blackie, Scots nationalist, man of letters, and radical was obviously well loved.
#9. The Hurdy-Gurdy – written for the hurdy-gurdy….by a non-player. Alas, it doesn’t play well on a hurdy-gurdy but conjures my image of the player.
#10. In Remembrance – For all the loved ones who are still with us through our warm memories.
#11. There Goes the Paper Boy – Inspired by David Francey’s wonderful song “Paper Boy” www.davidfrancey.com
