Tom does most of the arrangements and when paired with vocal expert Carol Hasek there is lots of music made and always some new warm ups, vocal arrangements and new techniques to improve your singing skills. We sing Friday night and SaturDAY. We end with a wonderful meal and an open stage. No singing experience is necessary, though it really helps. Beautiful grounds, lots of jamming and very friendly folks of varying ages. This will be special because it looks like the property will be sold. Let’s enjoy it while we can. Choral experience is an asset, but not a necessity. Warm-ups and vocal technique; evening song circles; master class and performance opportunities. Fee: $80.00 per person includes workshop, music, juice/water, lunch and dinner on Saturday. Tom Leighton is a multi-instrumentalist with an impressive number of arranging credits for choirs, orchestras and stage bands. Haines & Leighton have released three wonderful CDs on Borealis Records ( HYPERLINK “http://www.haines-leighton.com/” o “http://www.haines-leighton.com/” http://www.haines-leighton.com/) and as an accompanist Tom plays on over 70 recordings and is on the staff of Wexford School for the Performing Arts. Carol Hanson Hasek spent 15 years as a successful studio and jingle singer (hers was the voice of “Thank you very much milk”, among dozens of others) and sang with Tafelmusik Chamber Choir for 10 years. Carol is one of Toronto’s most in-demand vocal coaches in her private studio and at Wexford School of the Performing Arts. We are thrilled that Tom and Carol are returning (and so are they!)
